1973

Exhibition at the ABC Gallery in the presence of Mr. Shinsuke Kishi and Mr. Eisaku Sato (both ex-Prime Ministers of Japan) and Shintaro Abe. Meets Kei and Yu Fujiwara of Bizen, named by the Japanese government "Living Treasures of Ceramics".

1974

Meets His Majesty the Sultan Quaboos of Oman at Cap Estel. From this meeting the "Oman-Japan Society" will be born, and he asks Mr. Shintaro Abe to be the President.

1976

Introduces the photographer Sanjiro Minamikawa to the artists for the making of the book "Eighty Artists in their Workshops" for Asahi magazine. It will be the beginning of a friendship with the painters André Masson, Hans Hartung, André Brasilier, Paul Aïzpiri, Edouard Mac Avoy, Jean Carzou and Antoni Clavé.

1979

Opens a workshop in Woodstock, New York.

1980

Creates a set of ten record covers for Philips. Creates a 6 m by 4 m mural painting, entitled "The Meeting of Europe and Asia" for the Seiryu Hotel of Osaka.

1981

Creates a collection of "Marcestel" serigraphs on silk for Ratti (of Italy).

1982

Exhibition at the Tokyu Shibuya Gallery in Tokyo. Exhibition at the Gallery One of San Francisco. Creates a collection of ceramics and lacquers for the annual Tachibana exhibition in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto.

1983

Exhibition at Gallery Kintetsu of Nara "The World of Marcestel". Participates in the charity sale in Verbier, Switzerland, "Children Here, Children There".

1984

Exhibition of paintings and ceramics at the Gallery Center in Shizuoka. Creation of a 6m x 2m mural painting. "The Birth of the Sun-Like Deity" for the Orion Hospital in Izumi. Exhibition of dresses made with Marcestel serigraphs on silk, in Miami, Florida.

1985

Exhibition at the Daimaru Gallery in Fukuoka. Exhibition of paintings and fabric in Siena. Publication of his first book "Eternity and Love", Kyoto Shoin Editions. Exhibition at the Kaibundo Gallery in Kobe. Purchase of the château de Moiré near Angers, France.

1986

Exhibition at "Kyoto "Newspaper. Exhibition at the Galerie Place Beauvau in Paris.

1987

Creation of a series of tapestries in Peking, China. Initiated by the Franco-Vietnamese artist Lebadang, creation of lithographs and serigraphs in relief. Exhibition at the Benow Gallery in Munich, Germany. Exhibition at the Circle Gallery in San Francisco Aid to the "Appel" foundation for homeless children in Lome, Togo, in Africa.

1988

Exhibition in Matsue. Purchase of a painting by the Tanabe Museum. Exhibition at the Magna Gallery of San Francisco and New York. Work on marble plaques. Accompanies the Prince Hereditaire Albert of Monaco for one week on his first visit to Japan, invited by Fuji Television.

1989

Exhibition at the Circle Gallery in Atlantic City, Denver and San Francisco. Exhibition "Art and Building Space" in the Sony building in Tokyo, organized thanks to Mr. Akio Morita President and founder of Sony. Exhibition at the Hankyu Five Gallery in Osaka organized to commemorate the bicentennial of the French Revolution. Exhibition commemorating the opening of the art center "Bunkamura". Exhibition at the Circle Gallery of Pittsburgh and San Diego. Exhibition at the Sogo Gallery in Kobe. The Portopia Hotel purchases a canvas there, "The Birth of Love". Creation of the tapestry "Love on the River's Edge" by Yvette Cauquil-Prince after Marcestel's work. Meets Shinji Tanimura, singer-composer.

1990

Changes workshops in Hong Kong to Tien Tsa Tsui. New workshop in New York. Exhibition at the Galerie Place Beauvau in Paris. Exhibition at "Art Expo" of Tokyo. Second book dedicated to the artist's work "Nature and Love", edited by Kyoto Shoin. Exhibition at the Galerie Jacques of New York.

1991

First glasswork in collaboration with the master glassworker Gian Carlo Signoretto of Murano and the Françoise Cortese workshop. Fashion show of dresses in silk fabric printed with Marcestel serigraphs, with the designer Babette Aquino at the Di Lei Gallery of Ashia in Japan. Large exhibition at the Takashimaya Gallery in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

1992

Exhibition at the Iwataya Gallery in Fukuoka Kyushu. Exhibition at the Member's Club in Hong Kong. Works on obis (kimono belts). Exhibition of obis at the Sogo Gallery in Yokohama. Creation of a collection of dresses in rayon fabric printed with Marcestesl serigraphs, with Mitsubishi Rayon. Exhibition at the Niken Gallery in Ikebukuro Tokyo.

1994

Exhibition of screens entitled "Izanami Izanagi: the Birth of Japan" (172 cm x 400 cm) for the commemoration of the 1,200th anniversary of the founding of Kyoto at the cultural museum of the city. Exhibition at the Salon d'Angers in France. Exhibition at the Art Expo in Miami with the Opera Gallery. Exhibition at Harrods, in London, of bed sheets and linens in Marcestel silk serigraphs. Exhibition at the Mitsukoshi store in Shinjuku-Tokyo. Ceramic work in the workshop of the grandson of the Living Treasure, Yuso Kondo.

1995

Creation of Kakejiku in the town of Chang Zhou in China. Exhibition at the Daimaru Gallery in Kyoto. Exhibition at the Cultural Center of the towns of Himeji and Fuji, Japan. Exhibition in Kofu with the artist Taro Okamoto. Exhibition at the Mitsukoshi Gallery in Nagoya. Creation of a mural painting entitled "Bouquet and the Sea" (230 cm x 130 cm) for the Iryohojin Seikokai Care Center for the town of Kusatsu in Japan. Donation of seven canvases with the local Rotary for the hospital of the town of Izumisano.

1996

Work on handmade paper with master Seiji Kagari. Exhibition at the Daimaru Gallery in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. Participation in the exhibition of tapestry at the Mercian Museum in Karuizawa. Named as a representative of the Salon d'Automne for the countries of Asia. On the occasion of the celebration of the two-thousand-year anniversary of the Ise Shrine, the city of Ise chooses to organize a large exhibition of his works on Japanese Mythology. Donation of a bronze, "Amaterasu Omikami, the Deity Like the Sun" to the Ise Shrine.

1997

Exhibition at the Sogo Gallery in Nara. Exhibition in Tsuruoka at Dewa Shonai Kokusaimaru Hall. Exhibition at the Bonbalta Gallery of Miyazaki. Exhibition at the Jean Art Gallery of Seoul, Korea. 1998

Donation to the Shrine of Dewa Sanzan in Yamagata. Creation of a fan club in Yamagata. Exhibition at the Mitsukoshi Gallery in Takamatsu. Encounter with Prince Mikasanomiya, during an event at the Neo Tropical Club. Decoration of the entire Kashiwagi Hospital in Kyoto, including a ceiling 5 meters in diameter. Exhibition at the Maison de l'Amérique Latine in Monaco to benefit a dispensary of SAS Prince Héréditaire Albert of Monaco in Niger. Exhibition at the Daiwa Gallery in Nigata.

1999

Exhibition at the Opera Gallery in Singapore. Exhibition at the Mitsukoshi Gallery in Shinjuku (Tokyo) Cover of the monthly review "Ribero" for 24 consecutive months. Exhibition at Morioka in Iwate. Purchase of 14 canvases by the Organ Museum of Kawachiko for its opening.

2001

Exhibition at the Mitsukoshi Gallery in Ikebukuro. Donation of 40 paintings for the commemoration of the Inunakiyama Shrine.

Exhibition at the Sora Gallery in Okinawa. Exhibition in Kajima.

Exhibitions at Matsue and Osaka. Exhibition in the town of Kajima at Ibaragi, with a donation to the Kajima Shrine. First large exhibition on the theme of mythology at the Gallery Bitjitsu Sekai in Ginza, Tokyo. Exhibition in Hiroshima: "The Peace in Asia" Donations to the Shrine of Takachiho, to the Shrine of Udo, to the Shrine of Miyazaki, as well as to the Shrines of Izumo and Yaegaki in Shimane. 2004
